🔬 Multi-Indicator Confluence Score

What is the Confluence Score?
It combines 7 independent technical indicators into a single 0–100 conviction number. Each indicator asks one question about the current price action and awards points if the answer is bullish. The total points are divided by the maximum possible (85 pts) to produce the percentage score.

How to read it: A high score means multiple unrelated indicators all agree the stock is in a potential buy setup. No single indicator is reliable on its own — the value comes from agreement across different measurement approaches (momentum, trend, mean-reversion, volume). This is not a trade signal — it is a screening filter. Always apply your own analysis and risk management before any trade.

75–100 · 🟢 STRONG BUY — most indicators aligned bullish

55–74 · 🟡 BUY — majority bullish, some divergence

35–54 · ⚪ NEUTRAL — mixed signals, no clear edge

0–34 · 🔴 NO SIGNAL — indicators mostly not aligned

Indicator Breakdown

📖 Indicator Reference

RSI (14) — Relative Strength Index. Measures momentum on a 0–100 scale. Below 30 = oversold (potential bounce), above 70 = overbought (potential pullback). Scores up to 15 pts.

MACD — Moving Average Convergence/Divergence. Compares 12-period vs 26-period EMAs. A bullish crossover (MACD line crosses above signal line) scores 15 pts; simply being above signal scores 7 pts.

Bollinger Bands — Price channel ±2 std deviations from 20-period SMA. Price touching or below the lower band = mean-reversion setup, scores up to 15 pts.

VWAP — Volume Weighted Average Price, the intraday "fair value" line used by institutions. Price above VWAP = bullish institutional bias. Scores 10 pts. Most useful on intraday (5m/15m) intervals.

EMA 9 / 21 — Short-term (9-period) vs medium-term (21-period) exponential moving averages. EMA 9 above EMA 21 = short-term momentum is bullish. Scores 10 pts.

Volume Ratio — Current bar volume ÷ 20-period average volume. A ratio >1.5× means unusual participation/conviction behind the move. Scores 10 pts.

Stochastic %K (14) — Compares close to the 14-bar high/low range (0–100). Below 20 = oversold zone, potential reversal. Scores up to 10 pts.

Guide:
Vote Min 3-4 = higher quality exits with fewer signals.
Cluster ATR 0.25-0.40 = tighter target agreement; increase only in high volatility.
HTF Wait ATR 0.6-1.0 = wait for higher target only when there is meaningful upside.
Runner Trail ATR 1.2-1.8 = lower locks gains faster; higher lets runners breathe.
Tranche 1 + Tranche 2 should stay below 95% so the runner remains active.

How to tune for max profit. The backtest enters when score ≥ Min Score, then exits on Take Profit, Stop Loss, or after Hold Bars. Start by maximizing Total Return, then confirm the setup still has acceptable Profit Factor and drawdown.

What each input does
Min Score: higher = fewer, stricter trades.
Hold Bars: longer = lets winners run.
Cooldown: lower = more entries.
Take Profit: exits early once target is hit.
Stop Loss: caps downside quickly.

Trend setups
Use for EMA, SMA, VWAP, ADX, MACD trend rules.
Min Score: 45-55
Hold Bars: 8-21
Cooldown: 0-1
Take Profit: blank or 6-10
Stop Loss: -3 to -5

Mean reversion setups
Use for RSI, Bollinger, Stochastic reversal rules.
